Through our ISO management systems we are comitted to comply to all laws and regulations.

For our line of business we are especially concerned about information security and privacy. We are ISO-27001:2022 certified and continously act, evaluate and improve our internal procedures to ensure that your personal data are safe.

Privacy statement

This privacy statement states how CheckWare process and uses personal information on our web pages on checkware.com and other CheckWare top-level URLs (e.g. checkware.no and checkware.pl).


CheckWare, by Chief Information Security Officer, is the responsible Controller for the processing of personal data. This statement contains information that you are entitled to with regards to processing of information from our website (Norwegian privacy law; Personal Data Act, section 19) and general information on how we treat personal data (Norwegian privacy law; Personal Data Act section 18.1).

It is voluntary for those who visits our web sites to provide personal information related to services, such as receiving newsletters. The right to use the data is based on the consent of the individual, unless otherwise specified.

Wix is our data processor and is our supplier for the development, operation and maintenance of the web pages.

Information collected relating to site operation is stored on separate servers operated by the provider. Only CheckWare and Wix have access to the information collected. A separate data-processing agreement between CheckWare and Wix governs what information the provider has access to and how it should be processed. This can be found here: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy-dpa-users. Online statistics

CheckWare collects unidentified information about visitors to our website. The purpose of this is to prepare statistics that we use to improve and further develop our information on the web pages. Examples of what the statistics provide, is how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, what web sites the users come from and what browsers are used.


The information is processed in an unidentified and aggregated form.


Unidentified means that we cannot track the information we collect back to the individual user. We collect the entire IP address, but the IP address is deidentified. We use Google Analytics as a tool for statistics. This data is stored by Google, and is not handed over to other actors.


Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer when you download a web page.

The storage of information and processing of this information is not permitted unless the user has been informed and consented to this. The user should be informed and should approve which information is being processed, what the purpose of the processing is, and who is processing the information, cf. the Electronic Communications Act § 2-7b.

These are cookies that are used by google-analytics to collect information about how visitors use our webpages. Our google analytics account do not store IP addresses.

These are cookies used by the favourite action button triggered virtual assistant to keep track of your status in the descission three, and your historic communication threads through the virtual assistant.

These are session and consent cookies used by the publishing system itself and with the analytics system to respect your consent option.


Contact us form

The website offers an optional opportunity to register an enquiry with us. The contents of the form are stored and sent by email to our switch board. We store all inquiries and contact the requestor in accordance with the individual request. We do not use this data for other purposes, nor are they exposed to other businesses.


Newsletter

The website offers an optional opportunity to sign up for our newsletter. After a double confirmation from the registered email, we will send newsletters to these email addresses. In the newsletters you receive, you can choose to opt-out from the list.

You may also send an email to support@checkware.com to opt-out without receiving a newsletter first.


Course registration

The website offers an optional opportunity to enroll in courses. The contents of the form are stored and sent by email to our course manager. We store all course requests and use the information solely around handling and information related to our courses. The data is not disclosed to other businesses.


Support inquiries

All inquiries to our support center are stored in our support system. This data is only used to handle the inquiries including the storage of further correspondence. They are not handed over to other businesses.


Rights

All who ask are entitled to basic information about their personal data processing (GDPR, Chapter 3). CheckWare has provided this information in this statement and will refer to it for any requests. Those who are registered in one of CheckWare's systems are entitled to access their own information. The person also has the right to request that incorrect, incomplete or information that CheckWare does not have access to processing is corrected, deleted or supplemented. Claims from the registrant must be answered free of charge and no later than 30 days.
